Innovation, Invention & Adaptation
Main workshop: Sort + Adapt
Student material: Concept Sort + Adapt a Principle
Assessment role: Concept / B practice
A fast, increasingly independent final challenge that applies the complete design cycle through adaptation, systems thinking, rapid research, prototyping, feedback, and iteration.
Students identify one small school-life friction point, gather concise evidence, adapt/combine/improve existing principles, create a testable physical prototype or system representation, use feedback to make one required improvement, and showcase the iteration. The unit deliberately reduces scaffolding and portfolio weight after Unit 5.
